Riskified is seeking an Assistant Controller to support our expanding Finance team. In this high-impact role, you will build robust accounting infrastructure and controls while collaborating cross-functionally to drive company growth.

O que vais fazer

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Generate budget vs. actuals analysis, investigate and explain key variances, trends, and drivers
• Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies and internal controls to comply with legislation
• Ensure that detailed accounting documentation is compiled and maintained in support of relevant legal, regulatory, and audit requirements
• Review revenue contracts for compliance with Revenue Recognition accounting guidelines and ensure appropriate billing
• Work with the company’s auditors on quarterly and annual audits
• Perform manual billing calculations for unsupported contractual terms using dedicated BI reports and dashboards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless flow of billing information and its accurate representation in financial statements
• Partner with Development teams to identify, investigate, and drive billing and operational issues through resolution
• Work with Account Managers and Account Executives to align operational workflows, identify issues, and track them through resolution
• Build weekly and monthly reports and monitor KPI’s
• Support SOX compliance requirements and related controls
• Drive operational improvement initiatives, including automation, AI tools, and FinOps workflow optimization
• Guide and train Sales teams on accurate data entry and proper system usage
• Work closely with Deal Desk, Sales, Development, Product, Business Applications, and Legal teams
• Support and manage the monthly billing cycle, including recurring billing inquiries

O que é pedido

• 3+ years of experience in Finance Operations, Accounting, or a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Tech-oriented, with strong attention to detail and experience collaborating with Development, Product, Analytics, and other technical teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset
• Proactive, resourceful, and execution-focused, with the ability to think creatively and take initiative
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
• Familiarity with legal and contractual terminology
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• This is a hybrid position based in Lisbon, working 2-3 days from the office weekly
• Are you currently legally authorized to work in Portugal without requiring company sponsorship?

• Experience in a similar role in the high-tech or start-up industry (strong advantage)
• Experience working with Salesforce, NetSuite, and Looker (strong advantage)

• The base salary range for this position is €35,000 - € 40,000 gross annually for candidates based in Lisbon
