Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise data catalog, metadata standards, and lineage.
- Define and enforce semantic models and data contracts to translate raw data into business-ready objects.
- Provide transparent dashboards for data quality, lineage, and compliance.
- Lead data governance reviews and align with broader initiatives.
- Implement self-service templates and observability for pipelines and metadata.
- Collaborate with domain owners and mentor engineers on metadata best practices.
Technical Skills:
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent
- Tooling & Automation: CI/CD, dbt (or similar), Airflow / Dagster / Prefect
- Metadata Management: Experience with DataHub, Amundsen, Collibra, Alation, or similar
Languages & Programming:
- English – Expert
- Python – Expert
- SQL – Expert
- Shell/Bash – Practical knowledge
- Java/Scala or similar – Practical knowledge
