IP Network and Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Senior IP Network Engineer with a strong focus on network automation to join the team responsible for the design and evolution of the IP/MPLS network (core, aggregation, and peering) within the Network department.

What we expect from you

• Participate in the design and evolution of the IP network architecture: IGP/BGP routing, MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN, QoS, multicast, and traffic engineering.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle of IP/MPLS network equipment (core, aggregation, edge, and peering routers).
• Participate in the implementation of CI/CD and IaC pipelines for network changes, including automatic validation, pre-deployment testing (dry-run, virtual labs), and rollback mechanisms.
• Implement network telemetry (streaming telemetry, gNMI/gRPC, SNMP) and observability dashboards for capacity planning support.
• Support operations in complex incidents and root cause identification.
• Prepare technical documentation, configuration standards, and automation best practices.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and promote the adoption of NetDevOps practices.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams in evaluating new technologies and proof of concept.

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent area (or demonstrably equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IP network engineering, of which at least 5 in a telecommunications operator environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in production network automation projects.
• Participation in network transformation projects (core/edge migrations, introduction of Segment Routing/EVPN).
• Advanced routing knowledge: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS (LDP), Segment Routing (SR-MPLS/SRv6), L2/L3 VPN, EVPN, multicast, and QoS.
• Multi-vendor experience with operator equipment (Cisco IOS-XR, Nokia SR-OS, Juniper Junos).
• Advanced Python applied to networks and software engineering best practices (Git, testing, code review).
• Ansible for configuration management at scale.
