Role Overview:

We are looking for a Middleware Application Server Administrator to integrate our teams and support the operation, stability, and performance of enterprise middleware platforms. This role is focused on administration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of application server environments.

What you will do:

Install, configure, and maintain middleware and application server products;
Ensure service metrics monitoring and operational control;
Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting systems;
Periodically review configurations to ensure platform integrity, reliability, and compliance;
Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve service incidents and anomalies;
Perform performance analysis and tuning of middleware processes and services.

What you are like:

Proficient in administration of Application Servers, ideally WebSphere Liberty;
Experienced in managing and supporting middleware platforms in production environments;
Comfortable analysing performance issues and implementing tuning and optimisation actions;
Familiar with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as ElasticSearch, Filebeat, Logstash, and Prometheus;
Knowledgeable in shell scripting, automation, and configuration management tools such as Ansible;
Used to working with version control systems, namely Git;
Advantageous experience with other application servers such as JBoss, WebSphere ND, or WebLogic;
Organised, analytical, and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
