Data Engineer - GCP Specialist

Local: Lisboa / Porto (Híbrido)

Role Description:

Mind Source is strengthening its Software Development team with a talented Data Engineer - GCP Specialist.

Profile:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Minimum of 2 years of experience

- Experience with cloud platforms for data engineering, particularly GCP

- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala

- Experience with Big Data tools such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Hive, Sqoop, Flume, Impala, Kafka Streams & Connect

- Strong knowledge of data modeling and database design

- Experience with data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Talend)

- Understanding of distributed systems and data processing architectures

- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases

- Fluency in English

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms

- Collect, process, and analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources

- Develop and implement data workflows using technologies such as Spark and Apache Beam

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity

- Implement security measures, including access controls and data encryption

- Extract data from databases, file systems, and APIs

- Monitor system performance and optimize for scalability and high availability
