INDUSTRIAL PROCESS ENGINEER

FUNCTION MISSION

The Industrial Process Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the stability, capacity, and continuous improvement of production processes, working across quality, engineering, and production areas. The desired profile combines solid mastery of process engineering methodologies with analytical skills and results orientation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and monitor the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process in the development and industrialization phases of new projects.
• Prepare, update, and monitor process FMEA (pFMEA), ensuring the proactive identification and mitigation of failure modes.
• Apply quality tools to support production, namely 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, Control Plans, and MSA.
• Lead and coordinate troubleshooting activities for production issues, from root cause identification to the implementation of effective corrective actions.
• Perform statistical process analysis (SPC), including the calculation and monitoring of capacity indices Cp and Cpk, ensuring processes are within specification limits.
• Define, document, and optimize work methods and times, supporting line balancing and improving operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams in the implementation of continuous improvement projects (Lean, Kaizen).
• Ensure the preparation and updating of technical process documentation (work instructions, control plans, process flowcharts).
• Participate in internal and external quality audits (IATF 16949, customer) within the scope of your area of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS

Academic Background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Production Engineering or similar field.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Process Engineering roles, preferably in the automotive or metalworking industry.

Technical Knowledge

• Mastery of APQP and PPAP methodologies.
• Proven experience in preparing process FMEA (pFMEA).
• Solid knowledge of quality tools: 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, SPC, MSA, Control Plans.
• Ability to troubleshoot production problems and structured problem-solving.
• Knowledge of statistical process analysis (SPC), with calculation and interpretation of Cp and Cpk.
• Experience in defining and optimizing Methods and Times (time study, MTM or similar).
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001 standards.
