Opportunity in Porto with a hybrid work model (up to 3 remote days per week).

As a Senior Power BI and Data Storage Analyst, you will work for our client in the banking sector, specializing in financial data analysis and visualization. You will play a crucial role in designing and delivering enterprise-quality dashboards, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions. Your main responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance Power BI reports and dashboards for corporate financial operations.
  • Build and optimize robust data models using Dimensional Modeling techniques (Star Schema).
  • Write and optimize complex DAX calculations, ensuring high report performance on large datasets.
  • Develop and refine advanced SQL queries to extract and prepare data from banking databases.
  • Collaborate directly with CIB sector stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and recommend visualization solutions.
  • Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage Power BI workspaces to ensure compliance and security standards.
  • Provide expert advice on best practices in data visualization, governance, and data modeling.

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

  • More than 6 years of experience in Power BI development and data storage in financial or banking environments.
  • Deep experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Power BI solutions for enterprises.
  • Knowledge of DAX, including performance optimization, evaluation context, and time intelligence.
  • Extensive experience with SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and performance optimization.
  • Solid practical and theoretical knowledge of Dimensional Modeling (Kimball methodology).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with senior banking executives.
  • A proactive and consultative approach, with a strategic mindset capable of translating ambiguous business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

It is a great advantage if you have:

  • Certifications or additional training in data storage, Power BI, or related areas.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
