As a Senior QA Playwright Engineer - Bilingual in French, you will work for our client, a leading financial services group dedicated to providing robust digital solutions for management, insurance, and financial operations. You will play a key role in safeguarding the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications at the intersection of business and technology, contributing to impactful digital transformation initiatives.
Your main responsibilities:
- Create, develop and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
- Manage test plans, test cases, and test executions within Xray (Jira), ensuring full traceability from requirements to defects.
- Execute exploratory, functional, regression, and integration manual tests to validate web application functionalities.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts (mainly in French and English) to understand requirements and define clear acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and track bugs within Jira, ensuring timely resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for continuous feedback.
- Promote QA best practices, participate in code reviews, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
You are the ideal candidate for this role if you have:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in QA engineering or software testing.
- Proven experience creating automated tests with Playwright using Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with Xray for test management within Jira.
- Good understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Experience in testing RESTful APIs (using tools like Postman, Bruno, or Playwright).
- Proficiency in version control systems Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in French and English.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with up to 3 remote days per week.
It is a great advantage if you have:
- Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Knowledge in performance or load testing (e.g., with k6 or Playwright).
- ISTQB certification or equivalent in QA.
Languages required for the position:
- Fluent in French (spoken and written).
- Professional fluency in English.
