Opportunity based in Lisbon with a hybrid work model, allowing up to 3 remote days per week.
As a Senior Middleware Operations Engineer – Kafka, Qlik, Cloudera, you will support our client, one of the leading players in the banking sector committed to providing secure, reliable, and innovative financial solutions. Your experience will ensure the stability and performance of essential middleware platforms, contributing to transformative digital banking services. Your main responsibilities:
- Support the operational activities of the Kafka and Qlik Replicate platforms, ensuring high availability and operational stability.
- Resolve incidents efficiently, driving resolution within the established SLAs.
- Proactively execute standard changes, service requests, and updates to operational documentation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, network, and application teams to ensure uninterrupted platform performance.
- Manage support activities autonomously, appropriately escalating risks and recommending technical optimizations.
- Develop and reinforce operational procedures to adhere to best practices in a critical production environment.
- Contribute to the team's autonomy, enhancing expertise in Kafka and Qlik operations, and developing an understanding of Cloudera platform dependencies.
You are a great fit for this role if you have:
- At least 3 years of experience supporting middleware platforms in production or critical environments.
- Proven experience in Kafka administration or operational support.
- Practical knowledge of Qlik Replicate or similar CDC/replication solutions.
- Good understanding of Linux administration, log analysis, monitoring tools, and incident management.
- Strong ability to operate independently within a support team.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining middleware solutions in regulated or banking environments.
It's a big plus if you have:
- Exposure to Cloudera environments.
- Knowledge of database replication concepts.

- Fluent in English
