As a Mid-Level Cobol Mainframe Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in enterprise technology solutions. You will contribute to cutting-edge projects that enhance mainframe systems with modern DevOps practices, API integrations, and continuous delivery pipelines. This role offers a unique chance to modernize legacy infrastructure while shaping the future of digital transformation.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Cobol mainframe applications with a focus on high-quality code and robust testing practices.
  • Implement and manage zDevOps tools (Git / GitLab or Bitbucket for mainframe) to streamline development and deployment workflows.
  • Design and integrate APIs to enable seamless data exchange and system interoperability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software releases.
  • Adhere to strict quality standards and best practices in testing and code review.
  • Support system enhancements and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in mainframe development, particularly with Cobol.
  • Hands-on knowledge of zDevOps environments, including Git, GitLab or Bitbucket, and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with API development and integration on mainframe platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software testing and quality assurance practices.
  • Fluency in English; French language skills are a plus.

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Certification or experience in DevOps or Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of additional scripting or programming languages relevant to mainframe or middleware work.

Language Required for the role:

  • Fluent in English.
  • French language skills are an advantage.
