As a Senior Mainframe COBOL Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in enterprise-grade IT solutions, focused on delivering robust systems and innovative digital services. You will contribute to critical projects by developing high-performance COBOL applications, integrating APIs, and applying Agile methodologies to ensure scalable and flexible solutions for clients across diverse industries.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize COBOL applications on mainframe platforms, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Design and implement APIs to facilitate seamless integration across legacy and modern systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver Agile-driven development cycles, promoting continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operation.
• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices to support ongoing system enhancements.
• Engage proactively with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Uphold security standards and compliance within all development activities.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 4 years of proven experience in COBOL development on mainframe systems.
• Strong knowledge of API design and integration techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
• Good command of English and French, both written and spoken.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certification in Agile practices or related frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools and continuous integration environments.

Language required for the role:

• English: Communicative level.
• French: Proficient level.
