As a Senior COBOL Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the banking industry, managing and maintaining critical applications within the group's financial ecosystem. Your contribution will ensure the stability and evolution of foundational banking applications, supporting millions of customers across France and Europe. This role offers a unique chance to deepen your expertise and participate in impactful digital transformation initiatives.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, and test enhancements and maintenance campaigns for core banking applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application needs and deliver reliable solutions.
  • Contribute to project planning, estimation, and documentation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within COBOL, JCL, CICS, Endevor, and DB2 environments.
  • Assist in the integration and testing of optional components such as Pacbase.
  • Ensure compliance with existing standards and best practices throughout development cycles.
  • Provide ongoing support and improvement of existing legacy systems.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in COBOL development, particularly within banking or financial services.
  • Strong technical expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, Endevor, and DB2.
  • Experience working on maintenance campaigns and application evolution projects.
  • Ability to analyze complex system requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to operate in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Knowledge of Pacbase or similar legacy technologies.
  • Experience with banking applications or financial systems.
  • Relevant certifications in mainframe development or project management.

Language Required for the role:

  • Fluent in English and French.
