Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Banking Sector

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Banking Sector, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of critical BI tools supporting regulatory compliance, supervision, and business oversight. Your main responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze business requirements in collaboration with functional and technical teams to enhance BI solutions.
• Develop and maintain PowerBI semantic models and dataflows to ensure accurate reporting and data visualization.
• Design and implement SQL queries, especially in Oracle, to support data analysis and extraction tasks.
• Support project phases from requirements gathering through testing and deployment, ensuring deliverables meet specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate data integration, validation, and reporting processes.
• Participate in agile development cycles, applying methodologies like Kanban or SCRUM.
• Document technical specifications, test plans, and workshop reports to ensure clarity and traceability.
• Work effectively with stakeholders across various departments while maintaining excellent communication in English; French language skills are a plus.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, ideally within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong proficiency in SQL querying, particularly with Oracle databases.
• Solid expertise in PowerBI, including building semantic models, and experience with SSAS.
• Knowledge of Dataflows and familiarity with PowerApps and PowerAutomate are advantageous.
• Experience with agile methodologies, tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills, with the ability to facilitate collaborative working groups.
• Outstanding written and spoken communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with PowerApps and PowerAutomate.
• Certifications in BI or related fields.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
