Porto-based opportunity with hybrid work model (3 remote days per week).
As a Senior Banking QA Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading banking institution within the financial services sector, to ensure the quality, security, and compliance of critical banking applications. You will play a key role in safeguarding the integrity and reliability of financial software solutions that serve millions of customers across France and Europe, contributing to the ongoing digital transformation and top-tier service delivery.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex banking and finance applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira and Xray, collaborating closely with development teams to facilitate prompt resolution.
- Perform various testing types, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing, tailored to financial sector needs.
- Work alongside product managers, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage aligned with business objectives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members, sharing best practices and expertise.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and communicate quality status to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards applicable to banking and finance.
- Participate actively in requirement reviews and define acceptance criteria to guarantee quality standards.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing within the banking or finance industry.
- Proven expertise in using Jira and Xray for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and various testing techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English (fluent) and French (B2 minimum).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and adapt to project needs.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- ISTQB certification (Foundation Level or higher).
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
