As a Senior Application Support Engineer – Cloud and Automation, you will be working for our client, a leading company committed to maintaining the stability, performance, and reliability of critical production applications. You will play a vital role in resolving complex incidents, driving operational improvements, and collaborating across teams to deliver seamless solutions that support global operations. Your main responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced support for production applications, including incident investigation, resolution, and root cause analysis.
  • Lead high-priority incidents end-to-end and coordinate with development, infrastructure, and product teams.
  • Improve and maintain monitoring, alerting, and operational documentation (runbooks, SOPs).
  • Lead or contribute to operational and enhancement projects (e.g., upgrades, automation, new app rollouts).
  • Mentor junior support engineers and promote best practices within the team.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 support for critical applications, including shifts starting as early as 6:00 AM and/or extending until 7:00 PM.
  • Ensure seamless handovers and effective communication of ongoing issues across shifts.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

  • At least 6 years of experience in supporting enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux OS environments.
  • Hands-on experience with app servers like HAProxy, Apache, IIS.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools including Zabbix and Grafana.
  • Experience with middleware solutions like Axway API Gateway.
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Jira.
  • Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M.
  • Practical knowledge of DevOps tools including Confluence, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, XLDeploy, XLRelease, and BitBucket.
  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Automation expertise using Terraform and OpenShift.

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Certifications or experience in cloud architecture or automation tools.
  • Additional scripting or programming skills.
  • Experience working in international or multicultural environments.

Language Required for the role:

  • Fluent command of English (minimum B2 level).
