As a Mid-Level Kubernetes Infrastructure Engineer – On-Prem Data Platform, you will be working for a major financial technology platform, dedicated to designing and operating robust on-premises Kubernetes infrastructure. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of the platform that underpins critical financial services, fostering innovation and excellence in a regulated environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, size, and automate deployment of on-premises Kubernetes clusters, including availability, IAM, and lifecycle management
• Administer software-defined networking and CNI plugins such as Calico and Cilium at the infrastructure level
• Implement and maintain persistent storage solutions like CEPH and Portworx
• Deploy and operate backup infrastructure using Velero or equivalent tools
• Maintain Linux systems supporting the container platform to ensure stability and performance
• Define infrastructure standards and support project teams migrating to containerization
• Contribute to CI/CD tooling, including ArgoCD and Kustomize, supporting platform consumers
• Write Python scripts to automate and streamline infrastructure operations

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 3 years of experience in on-premises infrastructure (Linux, networking, storage, datacenter operations)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster engineering: installation, sizing, high availability design, and IAM management
• Expertise with CNI solutions like Calico and Cilium, and SDN concepts
• Experience with distributed storage solutions such as CEPH or Portworx, or enterprise backup tools like Velero
• Strong Python scripting skills for automation purposes
• Autonomous, proactive attitude and capacity to contribute to architectural decisions
• Fluent in English (B2 minimum)

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Azure cloud exposure
• Certification in Kubernetes or Linux environments
• Experience working in regulated sectors such as finance or banking
