As a Senior Cobol Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, supporting the Bank Platform. Your expertise will help maintain, optimize, and evolve core banking systems, ensuring seamless financial operations and customer satisfaction. Your main responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and enhancement activities on legacy banking systems using Cobol and related technologies
- Analyze business needs, craft detailed design solutions, develop, and conduct testing procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure project alignment
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Utilize JCL, CICS, Endevor, and DB2 for system integration and deployment processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the platform to ensure operational stability
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 8 years of experience in Cobol development within the banking or financial services industry
- Proficiency in Cobol, JCL, CICS, Endevor, and DB2
- Experience working with Pacbase is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills in English (fluent level) and French (C1 minimum)
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, with up to 3 remote days per week
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications or prior experience with Pacbase
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent in English
- French language skills at C1 minimum
