InnoWave is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our team for a project in the Energy sector. If you’re based in Lisbon, this might be the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities
- Identify test cases suitable for automation and contribute to the automation strategy.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases (record & play, keyword-driven, and Gherkin-based approaches).
- Execute and maintain automated test suites, ensuring stability of existing frameworks.
- Automate Frontend UI, Backend, API/Services (REST), and integration test scenarios.
- Prepare and manage test data for automation, including SQL queries and data validation.
- Develop and maintain DevOps-related work items using tools such as TFS or JIRA.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Work with Git for version control and automation repositories.
- Contribute to the development of reusable automation components and framework optimization.
- Support automation of SAP, Mobile, and Backend systems when required.
- Assist in implementing mocking strategies for complex integrations.
- Work with Docker (or similar technologies) for environment setup and test execution.
- Collaborate with Developers, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders to ensure software quality.
Skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in QA Automation or Test Automation roles.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar areas.
- Experience with automation tools such as TestPath, Worksoft (or similar).
- Solid experience in automating UI, API, and backend testing.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and validation.
- Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipelines.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of Docker or similar containerization tools is a plus.
- Experience with SAP automation is highly valued.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Fluent in English — written and spoken (mandatory).
