Qa automation (energy)

InnoWave is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our team for a project in the Energy sector. If you’re based in Lisbon, this might be the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

• Identify test cases suitable for automation and contribute to the automation strategy.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases (record & play, keyword-driven, and Gherkin-based approaches).
• Execute and maintain automated test suites, ensuring stability of existing frameworks.
• Automate Frontend UI, Backend, API/Services (REST), and integration test scenarios.
• Prepare and manage test data for automation, including SQL queries and data validation.
• Develop and maintain DevOps-related work items using tools such as TFS or JIRA.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Work with Git for version control and automation repositories.
• Contribute to the development of reusable automation components and framework optimization.
• Support automation of SAP, Mobile, and Backend systems when required.
• Assist in implementing mocking strategies for complex integrations.
• Work with Docker (or similar technologies) for environment setup and test execution.
• Collaborate with Developers, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders to ensure software quality.

Skills

• 3 to 5 years of experience in QA Automation or Test Automation roles.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar areas.
• Experience with automation tools such as TestPath, Worksoft (or similar).
• Solid experience in automating UI, API, and backend testing.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction and validation.
• Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipelines.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of Docker or similar containerization tools is a plus.
• Experience with SAP automation is highly valued.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent in English — written and spoken (mandatory).
