Cloud System Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Implement and promote Cloud FinOps good practices in Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
  • Monitoring and optimize the cloud resources, by identifying waste, improvement opportunities, and cost anomalies.
  • Automate the gathering, analysis and treatment of data regarding the Cloud usage and cost.
  • Support the Architecture, Engineering and Operations Teams in the adoption of efficient and sustainable architectures.
  • Identify and execute optimization initiatives, including rightsizing, reserves, savings plans and cleaning of non-utilized resources.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the company's FinOps strategy.
  • Produce technical analysis and recommendations for the continuous improvement of the Cloud platforms.
  • Act as the technical reference for efficiency, governance and optimization of multi-cloud environments.
  • Creation, maintenance, and revision of detailed technical documentation.

Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science or in similar areas.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology, Jira and Confluence.
  • Proven experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Experience in solution optimization in public cloud.
  • Proven knowledge of cloud cost management tools (ideally CloudHealth).
  • One of the following Certifications:
  • Certification FinOps Foundation (FinOps Certified Practitioner).
  • Fluent in English - written and spoken (mandatory).
  • Fluent in Spanish - written and spoken, is a plus.
