ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator specialized in backup and data protection to support enterprise and hybrid infrastructure environments in the technology sector, in a hybrid work context based in Lisbon.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, with support for Linux environments when required.
• Manage virtualized infrastructure based on VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Administer, monitor and optimize Veeam Backup & Replication and backup services for Microsoft 365 environments.
• Define, maintain and improve backup, retention, immutability and recovery policies.
• Analyze and troubleshoot backup, recovery and infrastructure incidents, ensuring clear follow-up and resolution.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity practices across hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Administer core infrastructure services, including Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures and reporting.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 5 or more years of professional experience in systems administration within enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Veeam backup technologies.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft systems, on-premises infrastructure and infrastructure operations.
• Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting capability.
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate clearly and document technical activities.
• Professional working proficiency in Portuguese and technical English.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Windows Server administration.
• Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.
• VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• PowerShell or other scripting and automation tools.
• Backup, retention, immutability, recovery and disaster recovery practices.

NICE TO HAVE

• Veeam Enterprise Manager or Veeam Cloud Connect.
• Storage, Object Storage, S3 and hardened repository knowledge.
• Microsoft 365 experience.
• Relevant certifications such as VMCE, VCP or Microsoft certifications.

COMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY

Base salary range: EUR 17 000 - EUR 28 000 gross/year

Total compensation: up to EUR 33 000/year

The salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements. Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate's profile and position requirements.
