Who are we looking for?
Software Deployment Engineer
Main tasks to be developed:
- Manage deployment procedures throughout the environments that make up the SW lifecycle (DEV-TEST-CERT-QUAL-PRD)
- Ensure the automation of compilation/promotion and distribution of the SW throughout the SW lifecycle
- Promote the releases of test environments to Production ensuring the development of the Delivery Plan and the Implementation Plan.
- Verify the system's operational status after the deployment (implementation) of the Delivery and accompany the start of the roll-out.
- Ensure the maintenance and stability of development, certification testing, pre-production, and production environments
- Ensure the installation of applications on own Servers and support the installation of the same applications on third-party servers.
Required Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Software Change and Configuration Management and software lifecycle management
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle from initial development, maintenance, and operation.
- Ability to apply creative solutions to complex automation problems in order to automate repetitive tasks
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with compilation tools.
- Ability to understand and solve software issues / hardware configuration problems.
- Configure build, test, and deployment stages
Desirable Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Programming languages: Cobol, Visual Basic, .NET, Java, Perl, Clist, Rexx, JCL, Endevor-SCL, SQL
- Knowledge of CICS, DB2, Oracle, IMS, MVS, Z/OS, ENDEVOR, HARVEST, MQ, FTS
- Familiarity with IT best practice standards such as ITIL, ISO20000, COBIT, and CMMI.
