Main Requirements

About the role - You will:

- Lead and line-manage a team of developers, ensuring high engagement and empowering the team to deliver brilliant work. To include performing 1-2-1s, identifying training needs, and managing professional progression

- Working closely with the other Development Team Leads to drive performance and engagement throughout the development teams; coordinate training needs; and facilitate career pathing and progression

- Liaising with the Development Manager to highlight knowledge development areas for the Development Team to assist with project allocation and resourcing

- Providing technical and process guidance to ensure that sound application design and quality practices are followed

- Direct liaison with customers to provide technical consultation and guidance, working alongside Business Development Managers, Business Analysts, and Account Managers during workshops and other customer meetings

- Involvement and input in solution and architectural design, working closely with the Architect team.

- Contribute to estimates and actively participate in the agile planning activities

- Configuration and deployment management for project releases

- Support the Product Owner and Project Manager in maintaining backlogs

- Ensure developed solutions deliver true business value, meeting customer requirements by working closely with the Project Manager

The kind of person you are:

- A minimum of 7-10 years of software development experience

- Excellent web development skills (NodeJS, Web Api, Angular)

- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB)

- Experience in the design and implementation of services, using service-oriented technologies

- Experience using Visual Studio and Git

- Experience in putting into architectural design and solutions

- Experience in leading and providing technical guidance to other Developers and the wider team

- Experience in TDD, CI/CD and automated integration testing

- Ability to operate independently within defined methodologies, procedures, and guidelines

- BSc Computer Science or similar

- Excellent communication skills and experience working closely with external stakeholders

- Good problem-solving and analytical skills

- Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
