We’re looking for bright AI Masterminds to join our team

At Critical TechWorks, the AI Masterminds are developers who play a pivotal role in reimagining how software is planned, built, and operated in an AI-native world. Free from established patterns, the Masterminds will develop through entirely new engineering paradigms. We are not looking for those who optimise the present. We are looking for those who invent the future of software engineering and enable the company’s AI strategy. Acting as a bridge between business, technology, and people, the role translates ambition into execution while balancing innovation, risk, and trust. If you are passionate about technology and have the resilience to discover new ways of doing things, this is where your journey begins.

Responsibilities

  • AI System Development: Design, build, and optimise end‑to‑end AI pipelines, transforming complex requirements into scalable, production‑ready solutions.
  • Model Exploration & Deployment: Develop, fine-tune, and operationalise large language models, ensuring high performance and seamless integration into BMW's platforms.
  • AIOps & Automation: Implement robust CI/CD workflows for AI, automate data pipelines, orchestrate agents and ensure reliable monitoring, reporting, governance, and lifecycle management of AI systems.
  • Performance Optimisation: Continuously evaluate, benchmark, and optimise AI models and services for efficiency, accuracy, and real-time performance in large-scale environments.
  • Collaborative Solution Engineering: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including software engineers, data experts, and product visionaries—to engineer AI-driven solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

Technical Skills

  • At least 5 years with a strong background in software engineering, digital platforms, and large-scale technology delivery.
  • Experience defining and executing AI or technology strategies in complex environments.
  • Solid understanding of AI, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, with a practical mindset.
  • Experience with Large Language Models and the applied usage patterns.
  • Experience working with public cloud platforms, especially AWS, and related AI/ML technologies and services is a plus.
  • Experience with model monitoring, observability, MLOps tooling, and Agile.

CTW's Daily Toolkit

  • Embrace agile practices, especially Scrum, leveraging its events to foster a high-performing team.
  • Be cross-functional, developing new skills to enable a team that owns the entire product lifecycle.
  • Adopt DevOps best practices, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for building, testing, and deploying reliable software.
  • Operate software post-deployment, including outside working hours if needed (extra compensation applies).
  • Travel abroad occasionally to support all phases of product development.
  • Have excellent English oral and written skills.

Who we are

Critical TechWorks seeks a distinct and treasured corporate culture, that is very much our own. This means growth and innovation, engineering excellence, autonomy and collaboration, and continuous learning.
