The Constellation Technology Team provides a group-wide set of Technology Products and Services across the Constellation Automotive Group. We are a central function working across the following domains: Technology Operations, Cyber Security, Product, Engineering, Enterprise Applications, Logistics, Architecture and Portfolio; across the UK and Europe.

What we are looking for!

We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and support scalable Salesforce solutions across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions, leading development activities, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and administrators.

This role requires deep expertise in the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, automation technologies, and platform best practices. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with excellent problem-solving capabilities and a passion for delivering business value through technology.

Salesforce Developer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom applications.
• Build and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce pages, and integrations.
• Develop reusable frameworks, components, and services to support enterprise-wide solutions.
• Ensure solutions adhere to Salesforce best practices, security standards, and coding guidelines.

Solution Design & Architecture

• Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Produce solution documentation, technical specifications, and deployment plans.
• Evaluate and recommend platform enhancements, third-party applications, and emerging Salesforce capabilities.
• Support data modeling and application design to ensure scalability and maintainability.

Integration & Data Management

• Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST, SOAP, Platform Events, Middleware, and APIs.
• Support data migration, cleansing, transformation, and synchronization activities.
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance standards are maintained.

Quality & Release Management

• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and deployment validation procedures.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high development standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices for Salesforce deployments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely resolutions.

Technical Leadership

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers and administrators.
• Lead technical workshops, design reviews, and development best practice discussions.
• Contribute to platform governance and technical roadmap planning.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects successfully.

Salesforce Developer Requirements

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong background in system integration and data migration projects.

• Expert-level knowledge of:

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification (required).
• Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification.
• Experience with MuleSoft or other integration platforms.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture and data governance frameworks.
• Experience working within regulated industries or large enterprise environments.
