The Constellation Technology Team provides a group-wide set of Technology Products and Services across the Constellation Automotive Group. We are a central function working across the following domains: Technology Operations, Cyber Security, Product, Engineering, Enterprise Applications, Logistics, Architecture and Portfolio; across the UK and Europe.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior-Level Software Engineer with experience in .Net frameworks to join our dynamic team. This role involves contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale systems, ensuring they meet client requirements and adhere to high standards of quality and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team to design, develop, and maintain scalable and distributed systems.
  • Work towards making our systems reliable, scalable, and secure.
  • Assist in ensuring systems align with client needs and product objectives.
  • Engage in continuous self-improvement to bring innovative solutions and practices to the team.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to understand and address key problems.
  • Work alongside the Technical Lead and other Engineers to balance value delivery with code quality.
  • Participate actively in the community for idea exchange, best practices, and lessons learned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency with React, JavaScript, .Net and relational databases.
  • Understanding of version control with Git, including knowledge of branches, commits, merges, and collaboration workflows on platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Optional (But Beneficial) Skills:

  • Familiarity with Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, and Clean Code principles.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, including Azure App Services or Azure Functions.
