Software Monitoring & DevOps Engineer (f/m/div.)
Your contribution to something big:
We are looking for a SW Monitoring/DevOps Engineer with strong experience in the implementation of user-facing monitoring systems and the creation of observability concepts.
This role will be responsible for designing and architecting end-to-end monitoring solutions that address the needs of internal customers and business stakeholders.
- Lead the implementation of user-facing monitoring systems that provide real-time visibility into application health, performance, and reliability across digital platforms;
- Define and develop observability concepts, including metrics strategies, logging standards, dashboards, and alerting principles aligned with business and internal customer needs;
- Architect end-to-end monitoring solutions tailored to diverse internal stakeholders, ensuring scalability, robustness, and long-term maintainability;
- Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to instrument applications and services, enabling high-quality telemetry and actionable insights;
- Support microservice-based and event-driven architectures with strong observability practices, including distributed tracing and event monitoring;
- Contribute hands-on to development tasks (Java, Python, or similar languages) when required for instrumentation, integration, or proof-of-concept activities.
What distinguishes you:
Education
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or similar technical roles;
- Proven experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent;
- Experience working with microservice-based and event-driven architectures.
Know-how
- Strong understanding of metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting concepts;
- Experience developing in Java, Python, or other enterprise-level programming languages;
- Ability to translate business and stakeholder needs into scalable monitoring architectures.
