What will you do?

• Maintain databases in operational condition for both production and non-production environments.
• Analyze activity, including incidents and requests, then develop and implement effective corrective actions.
• Optimize SGDB engines and SQL code to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.
• Develop scripts and automated solutions to streamline database administration activities.
• Participate in business projects focused on the design and implementation of databases, covering DBMS, volumetry, and high availability.
• Maintain operational documentation, including processes and workflows, and conduct business continuity and availability exercises.

What are we looking for?

At Aubay, our focus is on professionals who bring both technical expertise and the right mindset:

• Solid experience as a Middle Database Administrator (DBA) specializing in Oracle, with a strong DevOps mindset focused on automation, scalability, performance, and infrastructure reliability.
• Proven professional experience of 3+ years with Oracle 19c, including Oracle RAC, Single Instance, Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), and Oracle Dataguard.
• Expertise in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing SGDB engines and SQL code.
• Experience using ticketing systems and a commitment to guaranteeing database stability, performance, and security.
• Proficiency in English and Portuguese, coupled with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of other databases such as MS-SQL, MySQL, Postgres, and/or MongoDB is considered a plus.
• Alignment with our corporate culture and a commitment to integrity and ethics are highly valued.
• Strong customer focus, teamwork, task prioritisation, and daily commitment are highly appreciated.
• Available to work hybrid (8 displacements monthly to the office in Porto).
