We are hiring a Software Development Engineer to develop and maintain backend services in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services in a production environment;
• Build reliable and scalable backend logic with a strong focus on correctness and stability;
• Continuously improve system architecture, code quality, and maintainability;
• Ensure smooth integrations and data exchange between systems;
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested PHP code following best practices;
• Contribute to automated testing strategies to ensure high-quality production services;
• Collaborate closely with product and technical leadership to align on requirements and priorities;
• Identify performance and reliability issues and propose improvements;
• Document technical decisions and improvements when relevant.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining backend systems in production;
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP and frameworks such as Symfony or similar;
• Experience working on evolving and improving existing systems in live environments;
• Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling;
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs;
• Strong focus on code quality, testing, and maintainability;
• Good understanding of performance, reliability, and error handling;
• Comfortable working with complex business rules and data-critical systems;
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders;
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
