Bosch has confirmed the permanent appointment of Javier González Pareja as the representative of the German multinational in Portugal. This follows a significant leadership change in the company after the forced suspension of Carlos Ribas, the former representative, and four other senior managers. The suspension occurred unexpectedly in July 2024, leaving the company to temporarily appoint González Pareja as the interim leader of the Portuguese division.
González Pareja, who has been with Bosch for over 30 years, will now officially assume the role of President of Bosch in Portugal. In addition to his current responsibilities, he will oversee the company’s operations in Portugal, reaffirming Bosch's commitment to its strategic growth in the country. He expressed enthusiasm for the new challenge, highlighting Portugal's potential as a key hub for Bosch in Europe.
Bosch's operations in Portugal, which have been active since 2011, employ more than 7,000 people and generated €2.1 billion in turnover in 2023. The company is the fifth-largest exporter in Portugal and continues to play a vital role in the country’s economy.
