Siemens is growing its business in Portugal, opening two new centers for AI and UX by 2026. This is part of their €1 billion global investment to get AI working better.
Sofia Tenreiro, who heads Siemens Portugal, thinks of Portugal as the company’s best-kept secret. The Portuguese office is already Siemens’ sixth-biggest expert center globally. They're planning to hire about 250 experts at the start and then add more later as things grow.
They think investing in AI and UX is super important for making things run smoother inside the company and adding better tech to what they sell. Portugal is a great spot for Siemens to grow because it's in a good place, has great schools, and is full of skilled people.
