Revolut has joined forces with TAP Air Portugal to offer a new payment method called Revolut Pay. This allows customers in Portugal and the UK to pay for flights quickly and safely with just one click. The feature is now available on TAP’s website and app, letting passengers book flights in just a few seconds. When paying, users can approve the transaction straight from the Revolut app using either their password or a fingerprint scan.
Revolut says their payment system has a high success rate, with 98.5% of payment authorizations approved on average.
It also helps reduce the number of people who leave a purchase unfinished, bringing that number down below 10%. This helps airlines sell more tickets. For travelers, it makes the booking process easier by not requiring them to type in their payment details again every time.
Alex Codina, Revolut’s General Manager of Acquiring, says the partnership is meant to make paying for travel easier and more convenient.
João Frias, TAP’s Head of Payment Strategy & Fraud Prevention, added that working with Revolut supports TAP’s efforts to improve its digital services and make travel more comfortable for passengers.
