Brazilian consumer opinion aggregator Reclame Aqui has acquired a 30% stake in Consumers Trust, the Portuguese technology company behind platforms like Portal da Queixa, Réclame Ici (France), Libro de Quejas (Spain), and Complaints Book (South Africa and the UK).
The partnership marks Consumers Trust’s entry into South America and aims to accelerate growth and strengthen its position as a global reputation platform. With a footprint spanning five countries and two continents, Consumers Trust boasts over 2 million registered users, 10 million monthly interactions, and 20,000 brands on its platforms.
Reclame Aqui, founded in 2000, is recognized as Latin America’s largest consumer opinion aggregator, with 25 million users, 30 million monthly visits, and over 700,000 actively engaged companies.
The deal also marks the exit of early investors, including businessman Tim Vieira, known for his role as a “shark” on Shark Tank Portugal.
Pedro Lourenço, CEO of Consumers Trust, sees this partnership as a pivotal moment: “With Reclame Aqui’s technological and strategic support, we can become an even more significant global player, connecting consumers and businesses across diverse markets.”
Edu Neves, CEO of Reclame Aqui, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the synergy between the two companies: “Consumers Trust’s multicultural experience complements our goals, enabling us to expand solutions and tap into high-potential markets.”
This alliance combines expertise and innovation, setting the stage for new opportunities in global consumer engagement.
