Reclame Aqui, the largest aggregator of consumer opinions and company reputations in the world, has acquired a 30% stake in the Portuguese technology company Consumers Trust, which owns the Portal da Queixa. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
This strategic partnership aims to create a global reputational platform, connecting consumers and companies across various markets and emphasizing trust and reputation as valuable assets. Consumers Trust, with its presence in five countries and more than two million registered users, views this acquisition as a step towards accelerating growth and strengthening its position as a key player in the consumer ecosystem.
Edu Neves, CEO and Co-Founder of Reclame Aqui, called the deal a milestone in expanding reputation as a universal asset. Pedro Lourenço, CEO of Consumers Trust, believes that the technological and strategic support from Reclame Aqui will help the company evolve faster and gain greater relevance in both national and international markets.
Consumers Trust boasts over 10 million monthly interactions and more than 20,000 engaged brands. In Portugal, the Portal da Queixa platform is trusted by 98% of users for brand research, even when no complaints are filed, showcasing its reputation as a trusted marketplace.
Reclame Aqui, founded in 2000, is the largest online complaints platform in Latin America, with 30 million hits per month, over 1 million complaints filed monthly, and a resolution rate of 75%. This acquisition marks Reclame Aqui's expansion into the European market, helping both platforms work towards their goal of globalizing trust and reputation in consumer relations.
