Portuguese Drone Manufacturer Beyond Vision Deploys Drones in Ukraine

Some are already in action, and more upgraded models are being prepped for the war zone.

Beyond Vision focuses on AI-powered drones that can automate inspections. They joined EDP’s Energy Starter program in 2023 and have quickly improved what their drones can do.

The company shared this news at the World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A rep said the first drones went to Ukraine about three months ago, and more are coming later this year.

Here are some of their main drone models:

BVH616 Hexacopter (HEIFU PRO):

- Meets NATO standards for tough conditions

- Flight time: up to 60 minutes

- Payload: 3.5 kg

- Has backup communication systems and AI for steady flight, even with electronic warfare around

BVQ418 Quadcopter:

- Flight time: up to 90 minutes

- Payload: 6–7 kg

- Max takeoff weight: 18 kg

This move shows Beyond Vision's increasing role in advanced drone tech for defense and important operations. They’re combining AI flight control with strong carrying power for difficult situations.
