Portugal’s Winning Consultancy Enters Australia, Eyes Global Expansion

Lisbon-based management and tech consultancy Winning has launched operations in Sydney, investing over €500,000 nearly three years after its acquisition by France’s Alan Allman Associates. The move marks a major step in its global expansion strategy, which also includes planned subsidiaries in Singapore and North America by 2030.

The Australian operation will be led by Bruno Sousa, former Chief Data Officer at Mastercard. He’s tasked with building Winning’s presence and adapting its Portugal- and Spain-proven service model to local needs. The company, known for its academic-driven, evidence-based consulting, sees strong opportunity in Australia’s open and ambitious business environment.

Founded in 2012, Winning now employs around 300 consultants and closed 2024 with a record €21.5 million in revenue. It has also raised over €30 million in EU-backed funding for client innovation projects. The company aims to reach 500 consultants globally, leveraging both organic growth and acquisitions like Aveiro-based Alfagest.
