OVHcloud Launches First Public Cloud Zone in Portugal

OVHcloud has officially opened its first Local Zone in Portugal, located in Lisbon, offering low latency, local data residency, and compliance with strict security policies for national companies.

The new public cloud zone provides access to services like Compute, Block Storage, Object Storage, Backup, and local Public IP, with more features to be rolled out in the coming months.

Certified with ISO/IEC 27001 for cloud security and ISO/IEC 14001 for environmental management, the Lisbon zone ensures a secure and sustainable infrastructure for Portuguese businesses.

“This is a historic milestone in our relationship with Portugal,” said John Gazal, VP for Southern Europe and Brazil at OVHcloud. “Companies can now benefit from faster, more secure services that support local innovation and digital transformation.”

OVHcloud now operates 27 Local Zones globally and aims to reach 42 by August 2025.
