Nova Expressão, SGPS has acquired 52% of digital marketing agency comOn. This move, facilitated by a capital increase, positions Nova Expressão's owner, Pedro Baltazar, as the majority shareholder.
Despite the acquisition, comOn will continue operating independently, with Ricardo Pereira remaining CEO. The remaining 48% stays with Elemento Digital, comOn's previous sole owner.
The acquisition aims to enhance Nova Expressão’s technological capabilities, particularly in AI, while keeping both agencies separate but open to collaboration.
With around 70 employees between them, this deal bolsters Nova Expressão’s media ecosystem, which includes stakes in Nova Expressão – Planeamento de Media e Publicidade, PowerMedia, and Local Planet International.
