A new digital platform aimed at providing a detailed and actionable map of Portugal’s entrepreneurship ecosystem is expected to launch by the end of 2025, with €1 million in funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). The initiative is being developed by Startup Portugal and was awarded earlier this year to Leadership Business Consulting through an international public tender.
The platform is designed to offer a more nuanced and up-to-date view of the national startup landscape, complementing existing tools like Dealroom and public data sources. It will serve as a central point for stakeholders—such as incubators, investors, tech companies, and universities—to interact, collaborate, and access curated data on the ecosystem.
According to Startup Portugal, the tool will enable finer analysis tailored to Portugal’s specific entrepreneurial context and improve coordination among ecosystem players. “We aim to collect more granular information directly from relevant entities and not rely solely on public news or existing data aggregators,” explained António Dias Martins, executive director of Startup Portugal.
Initially envisioned for launch in 2023, the platform faced delays but is now back on track for release by year-end 2025. The final product is expected to foster connections, support policy decisions, and catalyze further development of Portugal’s innovation landscape.
