Previously leading Microsoft's Application Innovation division for three years, Soares brings extensive experience in technology and security. His background includes roles at PT, KPMG, and Oracle, along with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and a cybersecurity certification from MIT.
With cyber threats becoming more sophisticated and widespread, Soares emphasizes the need for robust security measures for both individuals and organizations. His leadership at Microsoft Portugal will focus on strengthening national cybersecurity defenses and enhancing AI-driven security solutions.
