Porto has once again been recognized by the Financial Times as the best European city for attracting investment. Luís Silva, President of Porto Tech Hub, sees this as a clear validation of the city's growing technological ecosystem, driven by collaboration between companies, universities, and public institutions.
Over the past decade, Porto Tech Hub has played a key role in fostering innovation, supporting companies, and training talent through initiatives like SWitCH. With 37% of its 40 member companies being international, the association has helped position Porto as a leading tech destination.
Looking ahead, Luís Silva highlights both challenges—such as talent retention and digital infrastructure—and opportunities, particularly in AI, cybersecurity, and software development. He envisions Porto solidifying its status as a major European technology hub, attracting top companies and talent while maintaining sustainable growth.
