A new study by Emergn reveals that 55% of executives believe AI projects are increasing fatigue rather than reducing it. Despite 82% seeing technological transformation as critical for competitiveness, constant changes are overwhelming teams: 45% report burnout, 36% have considered leaving, and many feel undertrained or poorly informed.
Alex Adamopoulos, CEO of Emergn, notes that “fatigue stems not from AI itself but from how organizations implement it. Without clarity, practical training, and manageable change, AI becomes just another burden.” He warns that overloading teams risks mistakes, reduced innovation, and attrition.
Mitigation requires responsible pacing of change, early involvement of employees, clear communication, and simplification of workflows—putting people first, not just technology.
