Technology company Inetum, with around 2,000 employees in Portugal, is preparing to acquire a company in advanced analytics, targeting Salesforce and Microsoft capabilities. CEO Pedro Gomes Santos said the deal could close by the end of 2025, aiming to expand the workforce to 2,200 across Lisbon, Porto, Covilhã, and Bragança.
This year, Inetum has already hired approximately 400 people and plans 200 more, focusing on projects where AI tools and automation optimize team size. The company provides services to European clients, including France, Switzerland, and Belgium, and leverages Portugal as a nearshore hub with a virtually non-existent language barrier.
Santos emphasized Portugal’s appeal for international technology services while noting talent constraints and rising competition could impact costs. Inetum Portugal generated €122 million in 2024 and targets 12% growth and a 10% margin in 2025. The company continues to strengthen its offerings in SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce, and data while accelerating its acquisition strategy.
