This BPO unit covers operations in Spain, Colombia, Italy, Peru, Mexico, Chile, and Portugal.
As part of the deal, over 5,000 employees will move to Teknei. They'll keep their jobs and working conditions for at least two years, so clients should see no difference in service.
This sale helps Teknei get bigger in the tech services and outsourcing game. Their goal is to hit €1 billion in revenue by 2030. Indra will hand over contracts, tech, and day-to-day stuff. From there, Teknei will add the BPO services to what they already offer, boosting their ability to handle tricky processes with skilled people.
Indra's CEO, José Vicente de los Mozos, mentioned that this move lets Indra put money into key areas like Defense, Aerospace, and Advanced Digital Technologies, as part of their future plans. Joseba Lekube, Teknei’s CEO, said that buying the BPO unit speeds up their growth and allows them to give clients better and more creative solutions.
Basically, Indra is changing gears to focus on tech and defense. At the same time, Teknei gets a boost, and the BPO employees get some security across the countries involved.
