Ten Portuguese university students are currently at Huawei’s global headquarters in China, diving deep into a week-long tech immersion as part of the company’s global “Seeds for the Future” program. The initiative, running since 2015 in Portugal, aims to nurture local talent and strengthen digital capabilities through hands-on experiences in cutting-edge technologies like AI, 5G, and cloud computing.
The students—chosen from institutions including IST, University of Aveiro, and Polytechnic Institutes across the country—will attend lectures, tour innovation hubs, and participate in “Tech4Good” sessions focused on using tech for social impact.
