ExpoEuronics 2025: A Human-Centered Vision for the Future of Technology

ExpoEuronics 2025 brought together over 50 leading tech brands at Europarque, Santa Maria da Feira, transforming the venue into a vibrant hub of innovation and connection. Designed as a trade-only event for the home appliance and electronics sector, the two-day fair highlighted a powerful message: technology should be personal, trustworthy, and human-centric.

Jorge Lopes, President of Euronics Portugal, emphasized the importance of trust and proximity in retail. “Business is done at the speed of trust,” he said, pointing to Euronics' network of over 100 local stores where customer relationships and after-sales support are key differentiators in an increasingly digital and price-driven market.

Now in its second edition, ExpoEuronics has grown significantly from its 2023 debut. This year featured 48 exhibitors, 5,000 square meters of exhibition space, and over 1,000 industry participants. The event offered hands-on demos, brand activations, and live showcookings from brands like Samsung, Sony, iRobot, SMEG, and Teka.

While currently closed to the public, there’s growing interest in opening future editions to consumers. “There’s demand,” Lopes acknowledged, “but logistical and safety issues still need to be addressed.”

Euronics continues to expand in Portugal, having doubled its turnover in five years, hitting a record €200 million in purchases in 2024. Europarque, meanwhile, is reestablishing itself as a national event hub, supported by the growing economic strength of Santa Maria da Feira.

As Euronics sees it, the future of tech isn’t just about devices—it’s about people who explain, recommend, and support them.
