EAD Expands Iberian Reach with Acquisition of Spanish Firm DID Confidencial Drag

Portuguese document management company EAD has acquired DID Confidencial, a Galician firm specializing in certified paper destruction. This move strengthens EAD’s foothold in Spain, following its 2023 acquisition of Catalan company Deletedoc.

CEO Paulo Veiga highlighted the strategic significance of Galicia as a gateway to broader Spanish markets, boosting EAD’s visibility and competitiveness across the Iberian Peninsula.

EAD, which employs 400 staff and serves 1,500 clients, projects 20% revenue growth in 2025, targeting €3 million in sales. The company also plans to invest €200,000 in Deletedoc to upgrade shredding equipment for improved energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Looking ahead, EAD is eyeing expansion into Extremadura and Asturias, while continuing to explore acquisition opportunities in Portugal. The group, part of Hectómetro, remains focused on leveraging synergies in the document management and destruction sector.
