Deloitte Unveils New €35 Million HQ in Porto for 600 Employees

Deloitte is consolidating its Porto team in a revamped former Ageas insurance building, now a modern office space at Rua Gonçalo Sampaio, near the Boavista roundabout. The extensive renovation, costing over €35 million, was led by Osborne (London-based investor) and Adriparte (Porto luxury developer), with the property to be acquired by BPI Gestão de Ativos.

The new headquarters, spanning 10,300 m², will accommodate Deloitte’s 600+ employees who were previously scattered between Bom Sucesso and Bessa Leite. The building features 1,400 m² of outdoor areas, 144 parking spots, green spaces, solar panels, EV charging stations, bike parking, and rooftop views over the Douro River and Atlantic.

Architectural firm Openbook preserved original elements like Lídia Vieira’s entrance murals and repurposed copper cladding into a sculptural reception panel, blending history with modern design.

Deloitte’s partner and COO Cláudia Bernardo emphasized that the move strengthens the firm’s presence in northern Portugal, providing a high-quality, functional workspace for employees and clients alike. This follows last summer’s €10 million investment in a new Braga office, underlining Deloitte’s commitment to growth in the region.
