Dashlane Ends Free Password Manager Plan, Urges Users to Upgrade by Sept. 16

Dashlane is ending its free password manager plan on September 16, 2025. This means free users will have one final chance to either upgrade to a paid plan or switch to another service. Since 2023, free users have been limited to only 25 passwords on one device, and this is the last change.

Free users will get a free trial of Dashlane Premium until September 16.

Paid plans cost about $60 per year for one person or $90 per year for a family of up to 10 users. If they upgrade before September 16, they can get up to 50% off.

After September 16, free users won’t be able to see or change their saved passwords.

They can still download them as CSV files. However, users who rely on passkeys may have more trouble, as passkey support isn’t complete yet. They might need to recreate those passwords elsewhere.

Even though free password managers with no limits are becoming less common, there are still options like Proton Pass, LogMeOnce, and Bitwarden that offer unlimited passwords and device syncing for free.
