Dachser has launched a new technology hub in Porto, positioning it as the company’s second-largest digital innovation center, after Kempten, Germany. Initially, the hub will be small, but it’s expected to grow to 100 employees by 2026, with a focus on creating digital solutions to enhance logistics operations.
The decision to establish the hub in Porto is strategic, as the city offers a tech-driven environment and is close to multiple universities, providing easy access to talent. This move is part of Dachser’s broader strategy to improve its digital capabilities and reinforce its goal of becoming the world’s most digitally advanced logistics provider.
The new hub will complement Dachser’s existing technology centers in Germany, France, Spain, Hong Kong, and the United States. The company has had a presence in Portugal since 1999, where it operates across six locations with around 200 employees.
