CUF, part of the José de Mello Group, has partnered with Portuguese startup Noxus to automate the registration of complaints and compliments using an AI-powered platform. The solution, implemented in just two months and built on Google’s Gemini technology, is expected to handle over 3,000 tasks per month, saving the healthcare provider approximately 600 hours monthly.
The system integrates Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to digitize PDFs and handwritten notes, and uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to automatically classify customer communications. Complex cases are flagged for human review, ensuring critical oversight.
According to Noxus CEO João Pedro Almeida, the project has been a success, freeing up staff for higher-value tasks and opening the door to further AI applications. Noxus, based at the AIHub of Unicorn Factory Lisboa, aims to become the leading no-code AI platform, enabling rapid deployment without the need for AI engineering teams.
